Leprechaun Lookers

February 29, 2024 · In: Lifestyle

Ever wonder why we try to capture Leprechauns? It is believed if you capture one of these mischievous fairies you will be granted three wishes and a gold coin in return for it’s freedom. In other words, it’s a fun tradition you can do with your kids on the days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day.

This tradition has evolved from a simple Leprechaun trap to now an elaborate game involving clues and Leprechaun lookers. People aren’t messing around trying to find these little guys!

If you want to take your Leprechaun hunt to the next level checkout these magical Leprechaun lookers. These bad boys will help you get that much closer to catching a Leprechaun! Here’s how to make them –

What You Need

  • Two toilet paper rolls
  • Green streamer
  • Two pipe cleaners
  • Felt balls, beads, and anything else you’d like to decorate your binoculars with
  • String or ribbon long enough to hang around your kids neck
  • Glue

Directions

Glue the green streamer around each toilet paper roll. Next glue or staple the the toilet paper rolls together. Then take one pipe cleaner and wrap it around the end of the rolls in a figure eight direction. Do this for both ends of the rolls. Once the pipe cleaners are placed, decorate as you please. Lastly, punch two holes at the end of the rolls and feed your ribbon through and tie it off to make the necklace. Once complete and the glue is dried head out to find your very own Leprechaun!

Good luck!

Send the kids out in the yard to gather leafs or go on a neighborhood walk. Once you have enough leaves of various shapes, sizes and colors head back to the house to assemble. Start by making a face out of construction paper and googly eyes, glue the face on a clothespin and clasped your favorite leaves to the pin.

Introducing: Trader Joe’s Mac-N-Cheese in a mini crockpot 🧀

I’m making this for 15 toddlers so they don’t need much. I buy 3 of the frozen Mac-n-cheese boxes, partially heat them in a microwave (for 3min), dump in a mini crockpot and plug in the crockpot at school. That’s it! Like I said, quick and easy 🙌🏼
