Just because your kid has no idea what Easter is doesn’t mean you can’t do festive crafts with them! When Aidan was a baby I wanted to do something fun on Easter with him but he was three months old so I had to get creative. First I found this adorable bunny craft I knew I had to do. Then I came up with a bunny tail activity that a 3 month old or even a 3 year old can do. The third craft was inspired by all the store bought egg shakers I kept seeing around. All of these crafts are easy to do once you have all the materials. Check them out below!
Cotton Ball Bunny Craft
This is by far one of my favorite crafts I’ve ever done. It’s so cute and easy to do. I like doing this for baby’s first Easter but you can do this craft at any age! This would make a great Easter day craft as you can get all the older siblings and cousins involved. Here’s how to make it –
Materials Needed:
- Bunny Outline. Download your free PDF here! (Printing on cardstock is recommended.)
- Cotton Balls
- Glue
- Picture of Kids Face
- Pink Paint
- White sheet of paper for baby’s footprints. Using cardstock is recommended.
- Scissors
Directions : Download and print our free bunny outline from the link above. Cut out the bunny. Glue your child’s face on the bunny as shown above. Fill in the bunny with cotton balls. Leave the pink in the ears exposed. Paint your baby’s feet with pink baby safe paint. Stamp their feet on white paper. Once the paint is dry cut out the feet and glue them on the bunny similar to the picture above.
Fill in the Bunny Tail
This is another great craft for infants and toddlers. The younger babies enjoy moving the pom poms through the gooey soap while the older kids get more technical and move all the pom poms in the bunny tail. I like to tape down the Ziplock to the ground or table using washi tape. It’s easier to use if its not moving around all over the place. Here’s how to make it –
Materials Needed:
- Bunny Outline. Download your free PDF here!
- Gallon Size Ziplock Bag
- Nail Polish Remover
- Clear Hand Soap
- Sharpie Marker
- Six Pom Poms
- Washi or Painters Tape
Directions: Download and print our free bunny outline from the link above. Take your nail polish remover and wipe off the ‘Ziplock’ logo on the bag. Insert the bunny PDF in the Ziplock bag. Outline the bunny with your sharpie marker. I traced over the bunny outline a few times to make a thicker bunny shape. Then make a large tail similar to the picture above. You want the tail big enough to fit several pom poms in it. Next fill your Ziplock bag with clear hand soap. I bought the larger refillable soap from Walmart. Then put in six pom poms, close the bag and tape it down to the floor or table. See if your kid can put all six cotton balls in the bunny tail!
DIY Egg Shakers
This last craft is super easy. All you need are plastic Easter eggs and whatever knickknacks you have laying around the house. I filled each egg with a different item so each one would make a different noise.
This craft is pretty self explanatory so I’ll leave you with a picture of what I filled my eggs with. Tip: If you’re worried the egg might pop open you can super glue them shut.
This craft would make a fun addition to your infants Easter basket!
