Back to School Items for Mom

July 23, 2024 · In: Lifestyle

It’s that time of year again – back to school! Let the chaotic mornings and jampacked schedules commence! While you are back to school shopping with your kids don’t forget about yourself. Mom’s need new stuff for the school year too. Below are some products to help make your mornings a little less hectic and your schedule a little more organized.

BTS Supplies

STANLEY TUMBLER – We all know the drill. School mornings are busy! Between feeding the kids, packing lunches, filling up water bottles and getting everyone dressed there leaves little time to sip your coffee. It’s mornings like this we are tankful for togo cups! Treat yourself to a new tumbler for the new school year. This 30oz. Stanley is only $35 and lots of colors to choose from!

BILLIE DRY SHAMPOO – If you don’t have time to drink coffee then chances are you’re not doing your hair either…and that’s okay! That’s why we have dry shampoo and hats, right? I love this one because its a powder and for some reason I feel like powders work better than aerosols. Is there any science behind this? No. Did I just make this up? Possibly. Do what feels right.

DAD HAT – If your hair is greasy because you can’t decide if you should buy powder or aerosol dry shampoo throw on a hat! It will buy you time until you decide what dry shampoo to buy. These basic dad hats come in a lot of neutral colors. Great for any outfit!

HAIR CLIPS – You picked a dry shampoo, great! Now you have clean looking hair again and want to show it off while also keeping those strands out of your face. These claw clips are perfect for the job. They come in an eight pack (4 total colors and two styles). Oh did I mention the eight pack is only $8! Score!

BELT BAG – Now that we have our hair figured out we need a place to store all our odds and ends. This belt bag is perfect to throw on while you’re juggling your kids lunch, water bottle, backpack and whatever else they are convincing you they need for the five minute car ride to school. Anyone else end up with random toys in their car?

REFRIGERATOR CALENDAR – Once school is in session your calendar starts to fill up fast! You have back to school night, soccer practice, playdates with new classmates, birthday parties, doctor appointments, and the list goes on. Keep everyone in the family on track with this acrylic refrigerator calendar. We love an aesthetically pleasing calendar!

GEL PENS – Is it even the start of a new school year if you don’t get a new set of pens? Not sure if there is anything mind blowing about these pens but they look cute.

LINEN PLANNER – I say every year I’m going to use a planner and I can never get past February! Despite knowing this I continue to buy a new planner every year. Maybe this will be THE year I finish an entire planner. If not, I have the refrigerator calendar to fall back on. Anyway, I’m a sucker for linen so of course my planner has to have a linen cover. This one comes in four colors. Click the link to check them out.

Whelp, that concludes my back to school product recommendations for mom. I hope you treat yourself to some new BTS items along with the kiddos. Hope you have a great school year!

If you have a favorite item you like to buy yourself every year for back to school I’d love to know what it is. Drop the item in the comments.

Cheers!

Send the kids out in the yard to gather leafs or go on a neighborhood walk. Once you have enough leaves of various shapes, sizes and colors head back to the house to assemble. Start by making a face out of construction paper and googly eyes, glue the face on a clothespin and clasped your favorite leaves to the pin.

Introducing: Trader Joe’s Mac-N-Cheese in a mini crockpot 🧀

I’m making this for 15 toddlers so they don’t need much. I buy 3 of the frozen Mac-n-cheese boxes, partially heat them in a microwave (for 3min), dump in a mini crockpot and plug in the crockpot at school. That’s it! Like I said, quick and easy 🙌🏼
